Another rumour is swirling around the industry today, as the next talk of the Nintendo NX stems from Eurogamer, a resource who is generally spot-on with these things.
Eurogamer reports that the Nintendo NX will be a “high-powered handheld console with its own display and that the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required.”
This is something we’ve heard for some months now and is most similar to the Nintendo Wii U gamepad, bad at a higher visual fidelity and a wider ranger of distance between the unit and controller, allowing for usage in a farer distance.
Another big rumour for the Nintendo NX is the return of cartridge-based games, with a storage size of up to 32GB. This is vastly different from previous generations of discs and digital downloads the Nintendo has brought into their ecosystem.
Nintendo is also looking to create a proprietary OS for their new NX console, keeping away from Android, as was originally what was swirling around the internet, there is also a breakdown of what kind of processing power the NX will be capable of when it launches.
